General

The event (public viewing from June 7 to June 29, 2008) is based on the house regulations, private and public law. It also relates to the rules of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) and the Swiss Football Association (SFV).

Area of application

The house regulations are integral part of the entrance permission for visitors and employees. The house regulations apply to all fence in areas, including the Hospitality area. The house regulations are valid for all events taking place in the UBS ARENA.

The goal of the house regulations is…

to avoid danger and harm to people | to avoid damage to property | to protect the area from damage and pollution | to guarantee that all events can take place without interruptions.

Stay

The area is meant for people watching the transmission of the football matches of the UEFA EURO 2008™ on the screen or participating at the other events (concerts, etc.). The Hospitality area is reserved for people with a valid invitation or accreditation. This has to be shown to the security staff upon request. If the person refuses to do so, he/she will not be admitted.

Authority of the security staff – The security staff is allowed to …

search people and decide if somebody is to be considered as a risk to overall security due to alcohol or drug consumption, carrying of weapons or fire hazard products | search clothing and carry-on bag etc. | prevent people that are considered to be a security risk from entering the area (this applies also to people who do not accept a personal search or do not accept to hand in items that are not allowed to be taken into the arena) expel people who do not comply with the rules and decisions of the police, the fire brigade, and the security staff | The personal search has to be done by a security employee of the same sex as the visitor.

Behavior in the arena area – All people who enter the area …

must behave in a way as not to endanger or harm anybody else and make sure that no other person is impeded on more than necessary or harassed | have to comply with all directives of the police and security staff | have to use the correct entrances to the parking places and must not encumber the stairs, the emergency, flight, and rescue paths.

Prohibited activities – The following items are banned from the area:

any racist, xenophobic, extreme right-and left-wing, national-socialist or political propaganda material | any kinds of weapons or things that can be used as a weapon | any gas spray cans, flammable or discoloring substances or containers withsubstances that could harm or could be flammable | any items made of glass or other hard, breakable and splintering material (bottles, glasses, pitchers, tins) | fireworks, flares, smoke powder, smoke-bombs, or other pyrotechnic items | lasers (pointers) | megaphones, signal horns, noise makers | cowbells and umbrellas | flags and banners with racist, sexist, provocative or insulting prints | wooden or metal flagpoles (however, flags and banners without a hard frame are allowed, as long as they do not impede on the view of other spectators to the screen and do not cover the advertising space of the sponsors) | food and beverages | animals | professional cameras, video cameras and other tone and picture recorders |

Further, it is forbidden to …

make any political propaganda or activities, sell or distribute racist, xenophobic or radical right-wing emblems or make any such statements | climb unto buildings or other infrastructure not meant for the public (for example fences, barriers, trees, poles) | paint or write on or stick something on any constructions, infrastructure or furniture, pathways | throw any kind of objects or fluid liquids | light a fire or ignite fireworks, flares, smoke powder, smoke-bombs, or any other flammable objects |relieve oneself, except in the public toilets | stand on the seats in the grandstand | record pictures, sound, descriptions or results of the event either totally or partially (except for exclusive private use), distribute these recordings or assist others |commercially use any pictures taken in the arena | bring with one commercial, political or religious objects, including banners, posters, symbols and flyers and such or promotional and commercial objects of all kind of material | Garbage, packaging and empty objects must be disposed of in the garbage bins stationed in the arena. The disposed materials must be separated and go into the appropriate bins.

Orders

You have to comply with the orders given by our staff. Our employees can refuse service of alcoholic beverages without giving reasons.

Liability

Each person entering the UBS ARENA acknowledges that the stay is on his/her own risk, and that neither the Perron8 Management nor any other relevant persons or groups are responsible for incurred risks, dangers or loss. This also includes bodily harm, damages to private property happening during the stay in the UBS ARENA, no matter when the event occurred, either before, during or after matches. The liability clause excludes events that are caused due to gross negligence and/or deliberate fault of the organizer.
Any accidents or damages must be reported immediately.

Violation

If a person has violated the house regulations, the management can impose a sanction (eviction, restraining order, reimbursement of expenses, and/or being charged). In any case, the management reserves the right for compensation for damages. The house regulations come into force by May/June 2008.
