SALES STANDS OR BOOTHS

Can I run a sales stand at the UBS ARENA?
Companies and clubs are unfortunately not allowed to run their own sales or info stands at the UBS ARENA. Various UBS ARENA towns and cities are planning a fan zone around the UBS ARENA where local companies, associations and clubs can be represented. Please contact your local council to see if there are still places available.

TICKETING

How should I treat my grandstand ticket?
Treat it like any other ticket. Try not to get it wet or dirty. Take care to ensure that the bar code can be read by the scanner.

Are tickets transferable? Can I buy tickets for other people?
The first person to present a ticket is considered to be its rightful owner and will be admitted to the event. There will only be occasional spot checks to ensure that people have valid tickets. Tickets should therefore not be copied, reproduced, imitated or made available for any such purpose. Keep your ticket in a safe place. Only buy tickets directly via the official sales channel, never buy from people you do not know, since you may be buying a forgery. Tickets are transferable. You can buy up to six tickets for friends and family via the official sales channel.

How will my ticket be checked at the event?
A bar code scanner will identify and register tickets.
You will not be able to get in more than once on the same ticket.

Can I exchange my ticket?
Tickets may not be returned or exchanged.

SECURITY

How is the promoter ensuring that the UBS ARENA remains peaceful?
The experience with the World Cup in Germany showed that public viewing, i.e. showing matches on big screens, is very popular with the general public. At the same time, public viewing also has a preventive character. It offers everyone who could not get a stadium ticket the opportunity to experience EURO 2008 at first hand. From this point of view, public viewing reduces the risk of trouble with frustrated fans. However, «Switzerland's fifth stadium» also has strict security arrangements.

What is the security concept for the UBS ARENA?

Security will be guaranteed at all 16 arenas throughout Switzerland. Perron8, the promoter and organizer, has opted for a single concept for the whole country with regard to security within the UBS ARENA. A professional, national partner has been found in PriSec-E08 (a consortium comprising Securitas and Protectas), which will handle the planning, coordination, and local implementation of security measures in all the arenas. The police will assist the promoter in planning security measures and putting them into practice. The promoter has issued regulations governing such matters as access control and items allowed in the arenas.

Will alcohol be banned at the UBS ARENA during EURO 2008?

Alcohol will play a part in EURO 2008 for many fans. Excessive alcohol consumption at large events can have serious consequences such as accidents, vandalism and violence. To ensure that EURO 2008 is an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone, the main aim is one of prevention, i.e. avoiding alcohol-related difficulties as far as possible and ensuring that the law on protecting children is observed. To this end, there will be various restrictions on the sale of alcohol at the 16 arenas. These include notices with information on the child protection law, trained serving staff, restrictions on advertising, providing inexpensive and attractive non-alcoholic drinks, volume and time restrictions on alcohol sales, light and alcohol-free beers, and free or very cheap mineral or tap water for everyone. Spirits will not be on sale.
