UBS ARENA – Switzerland’s fifth stadium of the UEFA EURO 2008™

The UBS ARENA offers a unique football festival for the whole of Switzerland throughout UEFA EURO 2008™. A small stadium will has been built in each of the 16 selected Swiss towns and cities, featuring a giant video wall, covered seating, and free standing places. Come and enjoy an exclusive range of food, drinks and cultural events. Visitors to the UBS ARENA will experience the UEFA EURO 2008™ matches in a stadium-like atmosphere. The UBS ARENA-City Challenge will determine which of the UBS ARENA locations has the greatest football knowledge. Also, SRG SSR idée suisse will be linking up the 16 locations with a specially produced TV broadcast presented live from a different UBS ARENA every day. The UBS ARENA is a stadium for everyone – women, children, seniors, families, football fans, and stars from local football clubs. ARENA TV
SRG SSR idée suisse will be linking up the 16 arenas with a specially produced TV broadcast presented live from a different UBS ARENA everyday, adding to the excitement with interaction between the various UBSARENA locations. ARENA Challenge
City Challenge - We are looking for the Swiss UBS ARENA town or city with the greatest football knowledge. Visitors can predict the winning team before every match via text message in the arena, and there will be further questions on UEFA EURO 2008™ at half time. The town or city will win points for every correct prediction and answer, and a league table will be drawn up. At half-time and after the matches, visitors will be able to see which UBS ARENA locations have the best score, and which are losers when it comes to football knowledge. The league table will be updated at every game. You can win both small and large instant prizes on the spot!

Tip Challenge - The UBS ARENA online prediction game in the run-up to UEFA EURO 2008™. You can enter as a team with friends, colleagues or fellow football players. The UBS ARENA wants to find the nation’s best football brains, so start betting on which team will win the match, who will score the goals, and who will be the overall champion of UEFA EURO 2008™ in Switzerland and Austria. Match broadcasts
It will not be possible to broadcast all UEFA EURO 2008^TM matches live, since some of the group matches will take place at the same time. A total of 31 matches will be shown.The arenas might not show the same match during the third round. The promoter reserves the right to choose the broadcast languages in the arenas (German,French and Italian) and to change the program without notice at any time. More information

Opening/start times
When there are two matches on the same evening, the doors to the fifth Swiss stadium are open at 16:00. When there is only one match, the doors are open at 18:00. A festive and enjoyable program will be there to welcome you to the arena and ARENA TV will be there to usher you into the live broadcast of the football match.

Standing
Standing places (3000 – 9000, depending on the arena) are free of charge. These areas can be accessed without a ticket. Once all places are occupied, the entrance will be closed. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets will not be allowed in the UBS ARENA.

Seating
There will be a grandstand at each location with about 1200 seats for each match. Seats cost CHF 11.– each match but CHF 16.– for all of the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final match. Tickets are valid for one match only. More information

Big screens
The LED video walls measure between 37 and 53 square meters and provide unsurpassed picture quality.

Events
Each UBS ARENA will offer visitors an individual program of events. All the concerts.

How to get there/parking
We recommend using public transport (UBS ARENA RailTicket). There will be no additional parking spaces.

Catering
Coop and Bell will provide a wide range of food and drinks at all 16 UBS ARENA locations, with a different selection on offer at each site.

Wheelchairs
All the arenas will have wheelchair access and especially designated wheelchair areas (10–15, depending on the arena). Admission will be free for wheelchair users and they do not need to contact the promoter in advance.
