Project stakeholders

The nationwide public viewing project for UEFA EURO 2008™ was proposed by the Swiss government to allow the whole country to share this unique football event. Perron8 was contracted by the public-sector initiative Projektorganisation Öffentliche Hand (POÖH) to organize the event.

Quote from POÖH:
«The UBS ARENA makes it possible to stage one big party to unite whole of Switzerland in June 2008. Thanks to it, the entire population can be a part of EURO 2008 in spite of the limited availability of tickets for the stadiums themselves. The project is also very important to the atmosphere during the tournament, when football fever will spread out of the stadiums to grip the country as a whole. In addition, this «Switzerland’s fifth stadium» will spread the spirit of EURO 2008 far beyond the towns and cities that play host to it and even beyond Switzerland's borders. This is why the federal government has shown so much commitment to support the project's development.»
