Basic information Zug

The Kyburg city of Zug features striking buildings in the late Gothic style in its old town. The Zytturm clock tower is the landmark of the historic center around Kolinplatz. Zug has a rich and varied cultural life that encompasses theater, concerts, arts and crafts, traditional events, and such culinary specialties as Zuger Rötel (a type of trout) and Zuger Kirschtorte (cherry cake with kirsch). Lake Zug lends itself well to an enjoyable boat trip or a romantic stroll along the lakefront promenade.
