Basic information Buchs
The Werdenberg region, with Buchs at its center, is a popular place to live, work, and play in the canton of St. Gallen's Rhine Valley. The six municipalities of Werdenberg, bordered by Liechtenstein and Austria, offer a high quality of life in a rural setting. Buchs has a population of 10,500 and lies between Chur and St. Gallen. Besides an attractive industry that provides more than 5,000 jobs, this Rhine Valley border town also boasts extensive education options thanks to its university, vocational college, and International School. The central shopping district is unique in the region as a place to meet and hang out with a great mix of shops and boutiques. Above all, however, Buchs is a friendly town with a good quality of life and a diverse range of leisure and cultural activities available. All this, right in the heart of the unspoiled countryside. In Buchs, situated on the Rhine and close to the urban center of the Werdenberg region, living out in the country does not mean being cut off from the modern world.
The UBS ARENA Buchs will be built right next to Lake Werdenberg with a stunning postcard-like view!
